DEBATERS IN TOP 8

26/03/04 - Our Debate Team of Melody Long, Michelle Low, Gayle Goh and Scott Tan made it 3 from 3 with a victory of Cedar Girls' and secured themselves 2nd place in the top 8. More.

DEBATERS INTO QUARTERS

09/03/04 - Congratulations to our debate team of Julie Chan, Scott Tan, Gayle Goh and Christianne Tan who secured a place in the quater finals of the NLB East Zone Debating Competition. More.

SECOND ROUND VICTORY

03/03/04 - Having defeated their first round opponents in the inaugrual round of the competition, our DHS EDS Debate Team of Melody Long, Michelle Low and Gayle Goh coninued their winning form against UWC. More.

RWR PRESS CONFERENCE

08/2003 - Class 2B completed their study of the characters of Milfong Ho's Rice Without Rain with a Press Conference. View the E-Album.

2ND IN NJC MATHS

12/07/2003 - Congratulations to Joshua Tey of 3M and SAP teammates Zhang Xiayang (4A) and Luo Cheng (4A), for coming 2nd in the NJC All Secondary Schools Mathematics Competition.

MOOT VICTORY

16/06/2003 - Congratulations to the Sec 3 GEP Moot Parliament Team of Gayle Goh, Tong Lap Him, Lin Yi Han and Yu Kang Hao for their momentous effort in securing the title of Best Opposition Team in the inaugural competition. More.

SECOND ROUND VICTORY

03/03/04 - Having defeated their first round opponents in the inaugural round of the Julia Gabriel's National Debating Championship B Division, our DHS Team of Michelle Low (First Speaker), Melody Long (Second Speaker), Gayle Goh (Third Speaker) and Scott Tan (Reserve) continued their winning form against the internantional school team from United World College on the controversial topic of euthanasia.

DEBATERS REACH SEMIS

05/2003 - Our EDS Debating Team reached the semi-finals in their first year in a new division. Congratulations team, you have done the school proud!

PLAYING THE BARD

04/2003 - In late April, Class 2B performed role plays on Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice. Find out which group emerged as the people's champions and view the E-album.

STUDENT VISIT

23/01/2003 - In January, DHS welcomed a group of Japanese junior high school students from Ogaki Town. View the E-Album.


SECONDARY ONE SKITS

23/08/2003 - The secondary one EDS troop prepare to showcase their comedic talents for the secondary two cohort at the school auditorium on Friday (05/09/03). View the E-Album.

TEACHERS' DAY DANCE

29/08/2003 - The secondary one EDS cohort banded together to perform a mass dance for the teachers on their special day. Organised by Vanessa of 1F, the dance was well received by students and teachers alike.

PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROW ...

08/08/2003 - EDS members gathered to bid a fond farewell their graduating seniors in style via an afternoon of feasting, dancing, singing and drama. It was an emotional time for the committee members who have shown great dedication throughout 2003. View the E-Album.

NATIONAL DAY PERFORMANCE

08/08/2003 - The EDS Dance team performed their SYF piece for the final time for the school National Day celebrations. It was the last time that seniors and juniors would work together and everyone was ready to do their part for both CCA and school.

DANCE AND DRAMA SECURE BRONZE

08/03 - Our EDS SYF Drama and Dance Teams put in a momentous effort at the official Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) and secured a Bronze Medal in the catagories of "Drama" and "International Dance" respectively. View the E-Albums.

DEBATERS RECOGNISED FOR INDIVIDUAL FLAIR

25/08/03 - In addition to entering the semi-finals on their first attempt in B Division, our debaters secured 2nd, 6th, 10th and 15th in the Best Individual Debaters catagory at the B Division and C Division Finals.

TOTAL DEFENCE PLAY

15/02/2003 - Our secondary two EDS members staged a short play to mark Total Defence Day. Led by EDS treasurer Colin of 4M, the secondary two cast members performed at both lower and upper secondary assemblies.
