Tioman, Tioman,
you are so fine,
A place to leave the world behind.
With many things to do and see,
There is no place I'd rather be.
Quite a distance from Singapore,
Clear sandy beaches, shore to shore.
Not far, Malaysia, the mainland;
If not for gum, would be so bland.
But no, Tioman is none like that;
So much to eat to make you fat.
Each day is
like a holiday,
Non-stop fun and games to play.
Pool and mah-jong, to name a few,
And thank God no Mister Kiw.
Oh, I wish I were there again,
Doing homework is such a pain.
In the morning, first day, we set
Off to tioman, hoping to get
There as fast as the boat could go,
But sadly that was very slow.
The sea that
day was not too smooth,
Still some set up a 'gambling booth'.
To take our minds off sea sickness,
We played cards like no ones business.
But no for long; we soon quitted
And many a friend vomited.
It was quite a strange sight to see,
Some friends betting on who would be
The last or only one who will
Not puke, without taking no pill.
In the end,
only three or four
The rest...well I needn't say more.
Let's just say they didn't feel too good,
And after the ride, we saw food.
At last - Paya beach - our new home
First glance, we wished we hadn't come.
From far, it all looked so lousy,
But we didn't think it'd be so cosy.
We soon fell in love with the place;
The joy could be seen on my face.
NEXT.
